A 24 litre bucket is full of water. 3 men want to have equal amounts of it to take home, but they only have a 13 litre, a 5 litre and an 11 litre bucket. How do they do it?

24 ലിറ്റര്‍ കൊള്ളുന്ന ഒരു പാത്രത്തില്‍ നിറയെ ജലമുണ്ട് . 3 പേര്‍ക്ക് ഇതു തുല്യമായി വിട്ടില്‍ കൊണ്ടു പോകണം. എന്നാല്‍ അവരുടെ കൈവശം 13, 11, 5 ലിറ്റര്‍ വീതം കൊള്ളുന്ന പാത്രമാത്രമെ ഉള്ളു. അവര്‍ ഈ പ്രശ്നം എങ്ങനെ പരിഹരിക്കും?

Puzzle 3

A group of four people has to cross a bridge. It is dark, and they have to light the path with a flashlight. No more than two people can cross the bridge simultaneously, and the group has only one flashlight. It takes different time for the people in the group to cross the bridge.

Anu crosses the bridge in 1 minute
Binu crosses the bridge in 2 minutes
Clara crosses the bridge in 5 minutes
Deepu crosses the bridge in 10 minutes

How can the group cross the bridge in 17 minutes using the flood light? 

Hint: Here if Anu and Clara combines to cross the bridge the time taken is 5 minutes. Then one has to bring back the flash light. Time taken to bring the flash light will also be considered.

നാലു പേര്‍ അടങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു സംഘത്തിനു ഒരു പാലം രാത്രി കടക്കണം. അവരുടെ കൈവശം ഒരു റാന്തല്‍ മാത്രമെയുള്ളു. ഒരു സമയത്ത് രണ്ടു പേര്‍ക്കു മാത്രമെ പാലം കടക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കു. നാലു പേര്‍ക്ക് പാലം കടക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ട സമയം ഇപ്രകാരമാണ് .

അനുവിന് 1 മിനുട്ട്

ബിനുവിന് 2 മിനുട്ട്

ക്ലാരക്ക് 5 മിനുട്ട്

ദീപുവിന് 10 മിനുട്ട്

ഈ ഒരു റാന്തല്‍ വെളിച്ചം കൊണ്ട് നാലു പേര്‍ക്ക് 17 മിനുട്ട് കൊണ്ട് പാലം കടക്കണം. ഈ പ്രശ്നം എങ്ങനെ പരിഹരിക്കും?

ഇവിടെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടത് ഇപ്പോള്‍ അനുവും ക്ലാരയും കൂടി പാലം കടന്നാല്‍, വേണ്ട സമയം 5 മിനുട്ട് . തുടര്‍ന്ന് ആരെങ്കിലും റാന്തല്‍ തിരികെ കൊണ്ടു വരണം.

ആ സമയവും കൂടി കണക്കാക്കും.

എന്റെ കൈവശം 40 കിലോഗ്രാമിന്റെ ഒരു പടിയുണ്ട് . അത് 4 തുല്യമല്ലാത്ത കഷണമായി പൊട്ടി. എന്നാല്‍ ഈ നാലു കഷണമായി എനിക്ക് 1 മുതല്‍ 40 വരെയുള്ള എല്ലാ ഭാരം അളക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കും(Integers). എങ്കില്‍ ഓരോ കഷണത്തിന്റെ ഭാരം എത്രയാണ് ?
